First, I want to say thank you for your time and attention. Second, this is not an advice newsletter. The “Momtrepreneur Files” is a monthly newsletter that will discuss gems that have helped me in my “personal” life, “business” life or “Mom” life. This week I am going to start this newsletter off with a gem that has enhanced my business life.
The Purpose of the
“Momtrepreneur Files”
The purpose of this newsletter is to allow me to use my voice while helping others enhance their life mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally. I know how it feels to be unheard and in a position where I wish I had help and didn’t receive it. So, to all my of Moms, entrepreneurs or those just seeking to be uplifted, this is for you!!!
Hey Business Life:
Set Realistic Goals
I was talking with one of my girlfriends who owns a cleaning business and she asked me “Aliyah, how does a business owner know when their business is successful?” My response was “Hell if I know!”. Her reply was “By setting realistic goals for your business and accomplishing them.” She explained even further by saying “you should have daily goals, which complete your weekly goals, weekly goals that take care of your monthly goals, monthly goals that tackle your yearly goals and yearly goals that fulfill your long term goals. Before you know it, your business is a success”. Man oh man did she get my gears grinding!!! As soon as I got off the phone with her, I immediately went to my dry erase board and made daily weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bi-annual, annual, 2 year and 5-year goals. So far it’s been about 6 weeks and I have accomplished so much by making an incremental “goals” list. Things are moving in the right direction much faster than I anticipated. So for my entrepreneurs out there, set goals, accomplish them and watch the success pour in!!!
